About Agronest Export
The people turning Tangail farm waste into world-class fiber
A Bangladesh-based fiber manufacturer and exporter with one focus: getting honest, lab-tested banana fiber and pineapple leaf fiber from our own factory in the Tangail countryside into mills and brands worldwide.

Our story
How Agronest started
A region with endless farm waste, our own factory turning it into world-class fiber, and one company doing both — from field to freight.
- The region
- Modhupur, Tangail — one of Bangladesh's great pineapple belts (≈6,880 ha), ringed by smallholder banana plots.
- The waste
- For every tonne of pineapples harvested, ~3 tonnes of leaves are left behind; every banana plant fruits once, then its 30–40 kg pseudostem is cut down. For decades, both were burned in the fields.
- The factory
- We solved the harder problem ourselves: a factory in Modhupur that turns that waste into consistent, export-grade fiber by mechanical decortication — no chemicals, no retting, no dye baths.
- The export side
- Production alone does not reach a spinning mill in Porto or a composites lab in Michigan: it takes export documentation, buyer communication across time zones, and the trust signals a buyer needs before wiring a deposit.
- Agronest
- Founded in Dhaka in 2025 as one integrated company: we run our own factory in Modhupur, Tangail, and handle quotations, export documentation, and logistics in-house. Buyers deal with the same team from field to freight — and know exactly who makes their material.

Our factory
Our factory in Modhupur, Tangail
The machine room behind every bale we export — owned and run by Agronest, so buyers deal with one integrated company from field to freight.
- Located in Modhupur, Tangail — in the heart of the pineapple belt, minutes from the farms that supply it.
- Mechanical decortication lines tuned per species: banana pseudostem and pineapple leaf behave very differently under the rollers, and the operators calibrate daily.
- Drying, grading, and baling under one roof, with a 9–12% moisture specification verified per lot before baling.
- A meaningful share of fiber preparation and grading roles held by women from surrounding villages — employment that did not exist here before fiber had an export market.

Mission
Our mission
One sentence, taken seriously.
To make Bangladesh's agricultural waste the world's most trusted source of natural banana and pineapple fiber — measured in lab reports, not adjectives.
01
Compete on spec sheets
Fiber quality that rivals abaca and flax on numbers — 500–900 MPa tensile for banana fiber, 70–82% cellulose for PALF — not just on sustainability storytelling.
02
Build export infrastructure
HS 5305 documentation, per-lot TDS files, ISO/IEC 17025 accredited lab reports, and freight that leaves Chattogram on schedule.
03
Keep the loop honest
~190 t/yr of waste diverted, ~38 t/yr of fiber, ~152 t/yr of compost returned to Tangail soil — the full accounting is on our sustainability page.

What makes us different
Four commitments we actually keep
Transparency before persuasion
We tell you exactly who makes our fiber, where the mill is, and what the lab reports say. We would rather lose an order than overstate a spec.
Numbers over adjectives
190 tonnes diverted, 38 tonnes of fiber, 152 tonnes of compost, 500–900 MPa tensile. Sustainability claims either have numbers behind them or they do not appear on this site.
The buyer's time is the scarcest resource
A written quotation within 24 hours, published price bands, published MOQ, published lead times. B2B buying should not require five follow-up emails.
The field is the brand
Our best marketing is a farmer in Tangail earning from a pseudostem that used to be burned. Every bale we export makes that story a little more sustainable.
Trust signals
Verified, documented, auditable
We make verification easy — because a genuine mill has nothing to hide.
ISO/IEC 17025 lab testing
Every lot tested at a Hohenstein-accredited lab for tensile strength & chemical safety — reports available before you commit.
Full export documents
Phytosanitary certificate, Certificate of Origin, and a per-lot technical data sheet with every shipment under HS 5305.
Chemical-free process
Mechanical decortication and enzymatic cottonization only — no acids, alkalis, bleaches, or retting ponds.
Worldwide markets
Shipping FOB Chattogram or CIF to spinning mills, rope makers, and composite labs across the EU, US, and East Asia.

Why "Agronest"
Agro for the farms. Nest for the ecosystem.
We wanted a name that said what we actually do: agriculture, handled honestly. "Agronest" is a commitment in two syllables — that every claim about our fiber traces back to a field, a machine, or a lab report, and that buyers never have to decode what we mean. When a spec sheet says 500–900 MPa, it is because a Hohenstein-accredited lab measured it, not because it sounded right.
Where we are headed
The next three years
A concrete plan, published where our buyers can hold us to it.
- 1
Capacity
Grow from 38 t/yr toward 100 t/yr of fiber by adding decortication lines at our factory in Modhupur as contracted volumes justify them.
- 2
Certification
OEKO-TEX certification by 2026 and GOTS-compliant handling for organic blend lines.
- 3
Product depth
Introduce roving and pre-blended sliver for spinners who want a drop-in natural fiber feedstock.
- 4
Reporting
A published annual impact statement — waste diverted, compost returned, rural wages paid — reviewed by a third party.
