Wholesale & bulk supply

Wholesale banana fiber & pineapple fiber: MOQ, pricing & terms

Most fiber suppliers will not publish a number. We will: bulk banana fiber ships from $4.00–5.50/kg FOB Bangladesh, and raw PALF from roughly $6–10/kg. Below are the honest bands, the MOQ, and every commercial term — so you can build a landed-cost model before you ever email us.

Grade tiers

Grade A / B / C — which tier fits your product

Every grade is the same chemical-free fiber; the tiers separate length, fineness, and defect tolerance so you pay for the quality your product actually needs.

Grade A

$4.75–5.50 / kg

Textile

Longest, finest, cleanest — 1.0–3.0 m at 80–250 microns, lowest defect count.

Why we publish pricing at all

Quote-only pricing wastes procurement time and hides weak suppliers. Publishing bands filters out mismatched buyers, saves serious ones a week of email ping-pong, and forces us to keep our own pricing honest. The band for raw banana fiber — $4.00–5.50/kg FOB Bangladesh — reflects real 2025–2026 transactions, not an opening anchor.

Planning a container?

A 40' high-cube holds approximately 18–20 tonnes of compressed fiber bales — roughly 200 bales of 100 kg. Mixed loads of banana fiber, PALF, and cottonized grades are possible; tell us your target mix and we will plan the bale configuration and loading photos accordingly.

From inquiry to invoice

How ordering works — in 5 steps

1

Send your requirement

Tell us the fiber, grade, quantity, and destination port — through the quote form, email, or WhatsApp. The more specific the spec, the sharper the price.

2

Written quotation within 24 hours

You receive a formal quotation: price per kg, bale plan, lead time, payment terms, and the per-lot TDS for the current production batch.

3

Sample approval

We courier 0.5–3 kg of the actual lot (or nearest batch) with its lab report. Test it in your process before committing volume.

4

Production & quality control

Your order enters the production schedule. Fiber is decorticated, dried to 9–12% moisture, graded, and sampled for ISO/IEC 17025 accredited lab testing before baling.

5

Shipment & documents

Bales load at Chattogram within 2–4 weeks. You receive the bill of lading, phytosanitary certificate, Certificate of Origin, commercial invoice, packing list, and per-lot TDS.

Volume pricing

How price actually moves with volume

  • The curve is flatter than most expect. Raw material collection dominates cost: 5–8% yield means over a tonne of fresh plant is handled for every 100 kg of clean fiber — that barely changes from 200 kg to 20 tonnes.
  • What does improve with scale: bale compression and handling (100 kg bales beat 25 kg), lab-testing amortization, and freight — a full 40' HC at ~18–20 t splits ocean and port charges across far more kilos than LCL.
  • Expect meaningful savings at full-container scale; treat sub-container quotes as close to the published band. Either way, your written quotation shows the math.

Landed cost

Freight, insurance & the number that matters

  • FOB Chattogram means fiber delivered on board; ocean freight, insurance, and destination charges are yours — or ours, under CIF. Fiber loads dense at ~18–20 t per 40' HC, so ocean cost per kilo is modest compared to light cargo.
  • Tell us your destination port and we quote CIF as standard alongside FOB, so your landed-cost model is complete before you decide. Sea transit runs ~24–35 days to Europe and ~28–40 days to the US.
  • Air freight via Dhaka (5–10 days) suits urgent replenishment, though at fiber densities it rarely beats sea on cost — samples excepted.

Buyer's guide

Six mistakes wholesale fiber buyers make

Learned from real inquiries — avoid these and your first order will go smoothly.

Comparing grades that are not equal

A $4.00/kg Industrial grade quote and a competitor's $5.50 Textile grade are different products. Always compare grade, length, fineness, and defect tolerance — then price.

Skipping the sample

Three weeks of courier time is cheaper than a container of fiber that fails your process. Test the actual lot before committing volume — we insist on it.

Ignoring moisture spec

Fiber at 16% moisture is fiber you are paying water for — and it molds in the bale. Our 9–12% specification is written into every quotation for a reason.

Underestimating documents

HS 5305 clearance needs the phytosanitary certificate and Certificate of Origin in order. We prepare them as standard; confirm your broker receives copies before the vessel sails.

Quoting landed cost from FOB alone

Freight, insurance, and destination charges vary by port and season. Ask for the CIF figure and your broker's local estimate before approving a budget.

Waiting on payment clarity

Decide early between T/T 30/70 and irrevocable L/C at sight — L/C establishment adds bank time to the 2–4 week lead clock, so build it into your schedule.

Wholesale FAQ

Pricing & ordering questions, answered

No — these are indicative bands to help you budget. Final pricing depends on grade, quantity, packaging, and destination, and is confirmed in a written quotation within 24 hours of your inquiry. Raw banana fiber has been moving in a $4.00–5.50/kg FOB Bangladesh band; PALF, which yields only 1.5–2.5% of leaf weight, typically runs $6–10/kg.
